Fantasies, Full Moon, Obon, and Prentis Hemphill

Almost full moon in Powderhorn Park taken Thursday Night
Song of the Week
Listen to this song as you read to help open you up. Nothing Else by Angus and Julia Stone.
Updates!
I don’t have many updates this week ya’ll. However below is an eight minute meditation by Prentis which is made to increase and access your resources. They reminds us that resiliency is our birthright. I love doing variations of this with folks with SE therapy. It’s time to celebrate Obon as well, so get ready for another opportunity to celebrate your ancestors. I also provide a resources on fantasies with Esther Perel. I avoided listening to her stuff for a long time, but I’m getting into it now and I appreciated some of her reflections in the podcast.
OBON In Japan

Happy Obon for those who celebrate, it’s a time to celebrate ancestors in Japan and is connected to the full moon in August which is set for this Saturday. Get ready for your moon dances.
Prentis Hemphill Meditation on Embodying Resilience
Go right to minute 2, to avoid the annoying intro by the guy who isn’t Prentis. God I love their voice.

Esther Perel on Fantasy:
I was listening to Esther Perel’s Podcast, Where Shall We Begin. There’s all sorts of juicy things in here, the focus is on fantasy, what people want sexually, emotionally and psychologically in relationships. Esther mentions in this episode that kids start to ask questions about where they come from and where they go when they die close to age four (much sooner than the light-hearted image referencing a 5th grader’s inquisitiveness), which I think is good to know and pay attention to when raising children.
