Eiko Integrative Therapies: Gift certificates, holidays, winter ritual, chaga, plant hangers.

Overview: A lot has happened in this last week. Sun Yung and I started painting our bodywork room! If anyone wants to join us tomorrow, Tuesday December 12th from 10-1p and 3-5p. We will give you some free cranio for helping. I think it will be complete in the next week or so! Gift Certificates are available, monthly memberships, chaga and plant hangers for sale.
On a fall/winter weather note, according to the UMN Extension Program, “Although the month [November] closed with a string of days that brought below normal temperatures, nearly three-fourths of all days during November brought warmer than normal temperatures.” If you’ve felt the ups and downs in your nervous system of not being able to orient as well, I’m sure it’s impacted by this. So many of us sense into our bodies by sensing into predictable seasonal shifts. Since it’s harder to for us to receive this consistency these days it’s even more important to maintain other seasonal rituals. For me that means shifting over to drinking more chaga and earthy teas and prepping for winter rituals.
Gift Certificates As Gifts

I have gift certificates available for 60 minutes, 90 minutes! For folks who don’t want to accumulate more things and appreciate experiences as gifts, these are perfect! I send you a e-certificate when you buy which you can print out or send via email to your beloved.
Monthly Membership is Back
This was one of my most popular services when I was at the People’s Movement Center. The monthly bodywork membership is where you can build in some loving accountability for yourself to receive monthly Swedish massage, Thai bodywork, or craniosacral. So many people say, “I need more bodywork” but only receive once a year or less. Once we’ve financially invested in something however, we tend to follow through more. So here’s how it works: you will be billed automatically monthly and you book at your leisure with me via the online scheduler. You can cancel this subscription anytime with no fee. You can give away your monthly session as well to a friend or loved one occasionally, though I encourage you to use most of them for yourself. If you want to split it as a household, that’s cool too. The point is that I want to build regular, consistent, body to body relationships with this membership. I get to know your body really well when I see you at least monthly, and therefore you receive better care, attention, and tracking of your body over time. All taxes and tip are included in the price. If you can’t afford the standard rate, let me know at these prices can be discussed.
The Overachiever Known as Chaga

$12 for a 1.75 oz (15 cups or so) $24 for 2.5 oz (30 cups or so)
Chaga is mycelium. It is also known as it’s Latin name Inonontus obliquus, Kabanoanatake (Japanese), tschaga(Russian), tschagapilz (German)
Kind of tastes like a forest coffee, chocolatey, earthy, and deep flavors.
Directions: Simmer for three hours. Add oat milk and maple syrup to taste. 1 tsp/cup.
Properties: It is very near the top of the list of all antioxidant foods. Supports the immune system by stimulating natural killer cell production. Chaga contains some of the highest concentrations of oxalates in any organism. Water soluble compounds reduce tumor growth. The black color is from melanin and supports antiviral activity. The antioxidants in chaga may reduce oxidative stress which fuels many chronic diseases. It only grows in birth forests. You can use it to start fires. This is an overachieving mushroom.
Caution: Can lower blood sugar and due to it’s high amount of oxalates it can increase risk of kidney stones, so those who have a history of or are predisposed to kidney stones should not take chaga.
